Although raised in a Christian family, Deanna Wilson fell into a life of fast money, bad men, drugs and despair as a young woman. Overcoming these obstacles and going from an exotic dancer to a respected educator was a difficult and long journey, for which Wilson gives full credit and thanks to the Grace of God and His followers. Since that transformation in her own life, she has worked to spread inspiration and hope to others struggling to improve their lives, return to their faith, and be stronger parents.
Today, Ms. Wilson is an author, an educator, an advocate for students with special needs, and an advocate for single parents everywhere. She continues to work in public schools as an Elementary Behavioral Specialist and is working on several new books and essays. Ms. Wilson also founded an organization, Mothers Raising Children Alone (MRCA), to serve as a supportive community and educational resource for single parents and grandparents dealing with the unique challenges of raising children without a partner.
If you are interested in hearing more from Wilson or know of a group that would benefit from hearing her story, Ms. Wilson is accepting speaking engagements as a women’s keynote speaker, a domestic violence survivor, and a pro-life advocate. For more information, Wilson is available at deanna@mrca4u.com or through the MRCA website.
